"Government Initiates 1,100 New Farmer Producer Organizations in Cooperative Sector"
A decision has been made to establish 1,100 New Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) in the Cooperative Sector in order to accomplish Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Sahkar se Samriddhi".
The Primary Agricultural Credit Societies, which are largely involved in short-term credit and the distribution of seeds and fertiliser, will now be able to engage in various economic activities, including high income-generating ones like beekeeping and mushroom cultivation, the Ministry stated. By establishing the essential market linkages for farmers, this project will guarantee that they receive fair pricing for their produce.

History of Saint Patrick's Day:
Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, was killed, and St. Patrick's Day honours his memory. Around the fifth century AD, a christian missionary and bishop by the name of Saint Patrick flourished. Although the specifics of his life are not widely known, it is assumed that he was born in Britain, abducted as a teenager and carried to Ireland as a slave, eventually escaped and returned to Britain. He then made a missionary visit to Ireland, where he is credited with winning many Irish people over to Christianity.
St. Patrick's Day was first celebrated in the United States in the late 18th century, as Irish immigrants brought the holiday with them to the new world. Over time, the holiday became more secular and less religious in nature, and today it is celebrated by people of all backgrounds and nationalities around the world as a celebration of Irish culture and heritage.

Irish history and mythology are the origins of the St. Patrick's Day custom of wearing green. According to one legend, St. Patrick utilised the three-leafed shamrock to convey to the Irish people the idea of the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Purple Fest 2023 in Goa: A Celebration of Music, Art, and Community | UPSC
Between January 6–8, 2023, Panaji, Goa, hosted Purple Fest, which drew over 50,000 attendees. The event featured competitions in table tennis and cricket, a marathon, and a chat amongst deaf -blind people. A bird-watching programme and movie were organised for the participants' entertainment, and the participants had access to the Miramar Beach.

In a ceremony conducted on January 31, 2023, Minister of Tourism Shri G. Kishan Reddy introduced the Visit India Year 2023 programme and presented its logo, launching off the nation's efforts to promote tourism. The launch coincides with India taking over the G20 presidency and intends to introduce the country's rich cultural legacy to the more than 100,000 foreign delegates scheduled in 2023. Shri Reddy noted that each foreign delegate of the G20 will serve as a brand ambassador for India's culture, heritage, and tourist locations and that his Ministry is working with Indian missions and other stakeholders to create a welcome environment for international visitors.
